Northeastern Colorado’s Premier Course

An Oasis on the Plains

Northeastern 18, located in Sterling, CO, is the premier golf course in the northeast region of Colorado.  Founded in 1916 as Sterling Country Club, the course has a rich history within Colorado golf lore. The course is the oldest in northeastern Colorado and one of the first five courses in Colorado.

Northeastern 18 is located on an oasis of 155 acres just west of Sterling, CO and features mature landscaping, rolling hills, water features on 9 out of 18 holes, and challenging greens for the experienced golfer.  Our signature hole features a blind tee shot and a 30 ft. periscope for golfer safety, the second shot requires a skillful chip or iron shot over a water feature for a very challenging par 4. Northeastern 18 features 6,436 yards of challenging golf where par for the course is 72.

The courses signature tournament is the annual Labor Day Tournament hosting over 150 golfers for a unique two-day stroke play competition filled with a weekends worth of entertainment and activities to go along with the tournament.

The golf course and restaurant have gone through several changes since becoming a public course in 2011, and are now owned and operated by the Lebsock family.  Members and visitors alike claim that Northeastern 18 is among their favorite golf courses in the country due to the unique character and friendly atmosphere of the clubhouse and bar.

The course features a driving range, practice putting green, practice chipping green with sand bunker.  A foot golf course will be installed in 2015, becoming the first golf course in the region to feature this amenity.
